Inland Open Water Safety and Rescue Course
Our Inland Open water Safety and Rescue course (Scottish Canoe Association (SCA) authorised) is a single day course ideal for those paddlers who are now starting to stretch themselves and our looking to explore some of the more remote lochs in the Scottish Highlands. The course is specific to canoe and kayak and will give you the opportunity to either learn or develop your rescue skills and hone those decision making process that will help you not only keep yourself safe but also those in your group.
Throughout the entire course you will be led by our fully qualified and experienced paddle sport instructor. You will get the chance to develop your rescue skills, including deep water rescues, self rescue and towing in calm and ruff water. This course will take place just south of Inverness on Loch Duntelchaig.



Who is this course aimed at
To get the most out of the day we recommend either holding a SCA/BCU Canoe Award or been canoeing or kayaking for at least one year and be able to control your canoe or kayak in up to Force 4 winds.
What’s included
We are happy to provide all the above equipment, but to get the most learning from the day, if you do own your own equipment, we do recommend that you bring and use it.
