Learn to Map Read

Our learn to map read courses run over a weekend with an evening lesson the night before and follow the frame work of the the National Navigation Award Scheme. The National Navigation Award Scheme is a nationally regornised award that enables you to work your way through the three levels gaining confidence and skill as you progress.

Our Introduction to Map Reading course (Bronze NNAS award), is ideal for those who are just starting out. Covering all the essentials such as map work and basic compass skills.

Our Advanced map Reading course (Silver NNAS award) is for those who already have navigational experience or have completed the Bronze NNAS award. This award takes you off the beaten track a little and develops your compass and map reading skills so that they act as one.
